I was learning how to write a persuasion text.  I know now that persuasion writing you give reasons.  It was tricky to give reasons to think.

I was learning to tell time.   I know now how to tell the time because the arrows tell me.   The short hand means the hour and the long hand.   It was tricky to figure out the what the arrows mean.

Learning Intention: WALT discuss the character.

Success criteria: I can describe the character using adjectives.

I can use quotes and actions to support what the character is like.

I can put myself in the character's shoes to help me understand him or her.

 
I was learning about getting in the character's head.  Now I know how to describe the main characters how they feel and what they do.  It was tricky to figure all the facts.

Using direct speech

I was learning about direct speech.  Now I know that if some one is speaking you add speech marks It was easy to add speech marks because I knew where to put them.

Identifying and explaining language features

I was learning about personification and similes.  Now I know that similes are two things that are the same.  It was easy because I knew what to do about similes and personification.

Making equal shares

I was learning about equal shares.  I know now that if I have 20 and I had five then 5 four each Now I can do equal shares by doubling.  I was easy to do equal shares.

I was learning to understand multiplication .Now i know 5 groups of ten is 50.  It was a bit confusing because I didn't know which one is the groups and numbers.

Reflection
I was learning about where to put my sequencing words.  I learnt where to put my sequencing words  .I can no know where to put my sequenuing words.  It was easy to put my sequencing words in the right place.

Features of a non-fiction text

Reading reflection
I was learning to look for features of a non-fiction text. Now I now that an Index tells you topic words.  It was tricky to understand the book because it had sub-headings and different parts.

Blend sounds

I was learning to spell blend sounds.It was easy to do blend sounds and roboting because I know to   split the letters.

I was learning to make connections to the I know how to make connections by thinking about the story and our life it was tricky to make connections because it was hard to think about stuff.

Splitting 3- digit numbers into tens and ones

Reflection

I was learning show to 3 digit numbers in tens and ones.  I can know how to split 3 digit. It was tricky to split the tens and ones because it was a bit tricky to figure out how many tens would be in a hundred.
